Project 1

Apiary Research Center

Architectural Design

Apiary Research Hub is an environmental architecture project that explores the relationship between humans, bees, and ecological systems. Responding to the global decline of pollinators, the project combines research, honey production, education, and public engagement within a single integrated campus.

My Role:

research, concept ideation, design

Inspired by biomimicry, the design draws from honeycomb geometries to inform form, structure, and a kinetic façade that regulates light and climate conditions. The site is organized into interconnected zones—research labs, workshops, a local market, and a vertical bee farm—linked by water systems, pedestrian paths, and green corridors.

The master plan is organized around distinct yet interconnected zones: research laboratories and processing facilities, workshops and educational spaces, a showroom and local market, and a vertical bee farm. These functions are linked through pedestrian paths, water features, and green corridors, reinforcing continuity between natural and built environments.
